My name is Dr. Walter Henry Sims.  I am the esteemed pastor of the Sweet Bethel Baptist Church located at 701 Bethel Road in Kinsey, Alabama.  My family and I are excited about what the Lord is doing in our ministry.  We are growing and we are experiencing God in an exciting way.  The Lord is blessing us spiritually and financially.  We can just look around and see that Lord is pleased with the way we are blessing His holy name.

We love the Lord and the people of God.  We believe the Galatians writer when he encouraged us to do good to our fellow man especially to those of the household of faith. 

As the pastor, I am called to feed the flock of God.  The sheep need spiritual nourishment.  I love the Word of God. It is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword.  In the midst of the tragedies that are nestled in our everyday lives, it is my calling to let the people of Sweet Bethel know, as well as anyone who will hear, that God is still good and He is yet on His throne.  We do not have a spirit of fear but of love, power, and a sound mind!!!!

The Psalmist writes in Psalm 20:7, " Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God."  My position is that we can make it, no matter how tough it gets, we can make it!  With Jesus on our side, things will work out fine.
